Aghh. I was going to come on here and point out the funny things and be like, "Rawr rawr rawr, hiddun humorz!" but... it's not... and I say it's fitting.
You know, the funny guy doesn't always have to please the crowd. You've got a talent in this that's comparable to the greats. Every comic doesn't have to be funny, and lord knows they aren't. But this shows that you are better than to pander to what is expected of your publishers and fans, in fact, I see a whole new Jesus and me now. And I want more.
I don't want it to be funny, this was the most excellent strip of two years because it didn't wrap up in the character witty logic (which I also love by the way) but even though Jesus' pal narrates so much of this strip (or is it that Jesus is narrating?! Truly in the mind of the reader in this instance, and takes on a different yet no less poignant manifest when it comes from 'Jesus, savior of man', in this instance, but........ and I've never ACTUALLY had to say this before........ I digress....... [woah, I said it]), so even though Jesus' pal here is supposedly narrating this, it absolutely has all the cleverness yet clear purposelessness that becomes one when they face these moments in life. I can't imagine it is an easy subject to ever write, draw, or imprint from ones memory to paper. But you've clearly conveyed something that has stuck with you... from experience.
"Anticlimacticism"... as campy as it sounds... that is really going to stick with me today. And I'd like to discuss more about it, but I will save that for another time.
I like that, not a scrap of humor, even in a shaded in tee-shirt of Jesus'. And it has never appealed to me more. And it's *personally* interesting, because I don't think I've seen this side of the author ever, except for the couple of times I confused his sleep exhaustion with depression... Yikes, digressing again. How does that keep happening?
I really appreciate the comments man. This one came to me a few weeks ago and I just felt it had to be done, it felt like the right move for me to make. Thanks again.

You've spoken tomes my friend, excellent work.
Before, I'd say, "That is a good comic," after reading.
But this time I said, "That is a good artist."
Meaning, both in the literary and drawn sense.
Congratulations, you've transcended.
